The environmental protection has become a great subject in the whole world, and atpresent, water quality monitoring technology of our country can not meet the needs ofsatisfied water quality monitoring. Be against the water quality monitoring present situationof our country, in order more effectively to realize the monitoring to the pollution source, onekind of intelligent observation system of long-range water quality has been discussed in thistext. That the use of this system will contribute to water quality, and raise water qualityinspecting and control standard, and finally achieve water quality to inspect and controlmonitoring automation, informationization and modernized purpose. The intelligent observation system of long-range water quality includes distant endequipment and owner stands equipment. The system design and the partial equipment designshave been analyzed in this text. Distant end equipment is the monitoring record apparatus thatis installed in monitoring field. It gather each channel data, changes them to the standardformat and will pass to equipment at owner station by way of the telephone line .it is thecomputer that loads the synthetic management information system software of environmentalprotection that owner stands equipment. It is responsible for taking monitoring the data,building the corresponding database, and finally passing the data to the senior managementdepartment computer. The design thought of the three-in-one has been used in monitoring the record apparatus.The system software has been accomplished with Keil C51's program language, themonitoring record apparatus has used W78E58 CPU and a large number of programmablecontrollers. This record apparatus possesses the multichannel measurement and abilities suchas data storage and modulate demodulator control etc. Using SPI and I2C's bus technology,has expanded the serial periphery parts, and has brought the convenience for the systemdesign. Use computational methods such as measuring range change etc , and raised themeasurement precision of system . After the structure and program module of the intelligent observation system oflong-range water quality designed, The synthetic management information software ofenvironmental protection is accomplished with development tool of Visual Basic's 6.0.According to standard communication protocol of the nation water quality monitoring,Appling communication part of MSComm has realized the online communication that takesthe supervision record apparatus as the lower machine. This supervision apparatus has extensively used on the market at present , and havingcarried on effective analysis and monitoring record to supervising water quality , andpossessing the stronger commonality。The design of system is stable. The observation systemis convenient and nimble.
