With the large-scale development of industry and agriculture during the reformand open,people’s municipal water quality went from bad to worse.In the mainriver,our country had invested a lot of money to set up water quality monitoringpoints,and combined those monitoring points to a intensive and rigorous nationalsurface water quality automatic monitoring real-time dissemination system.But therehad few water quality monitoring point in the poor environment of the west China,andnow the available water quality monitoring points couldn’t meet our demands.At thesame time,in our country the water quality monitoring tends to ignore the predictionof the water quality change.IF we can predict the water pollution with changing trendsof water quality,we can greatly reduce the threaten to people’s life and propertycoursed by water pollutions.Based on the deep analysis of the water quality monitoring and water qualityprediction at home and abroad,this thesis proposes an implementation scheme basedon embedded water quality monitoring and forecasting system.This thesis mainlycomposed of the following:(1)In the system design,it uses the embedded development board as the system’shardware platform,and uses the American Global Water company’s water monitoringsensors to sample water quality data.It inputs the data into the embedded developmentboard,and the board will process the data and communicate with the remote PCthrough GPRS.(2)In the water prediction,it uses the artificial neural network to predict the waterquality.(3)In the data storage,the remote PC use MYSQL database and the developmentboard use SQLite database to store the water quality data.It realizes the information’sinteraction between two databases to greatly improve the whole system’s reliability.(4)In data transmission,it adopts GPRS to communicate and write the datatransmission program based on internet and write short message sending program.Finally,we tested the whole water quality monitoring and prediction system,andthe test result showed the the whole system achieve the desired requirements.
