The Application Of ASP.net To Developing PDM System Base On Web

With the rapid development of manufacturing industry in the information age, FDM(Product Data Management) technology has been accepted and used by more and more enterprises. PDM, as an integrating platform, makes CAD, CAPP , CAM and other CAX systems not be isolated with each other any more. PDM enables all kinds of information communication in enterprise, breaks through the bottleneck of information sharing. All the people related with the product developing project can freely share various data of product by PDM. Interrelated data generated in each phase of the product developing are all in the management range of PDM. The integration of PDM with web is the requisite of PDM application in enterprises, and expands the use of PDM rapidly.At present, there are many PDM software products in the world, each of them has its own characteristic. However, because the complexity of corporation' configuration, different styles of management and diversity of product data, universal and sound software product of PDM has not yet appear. Developing of PDM system based on web orientated to small and medium enterprises introduced in this article aims at making our own exploration in PDM' field. The major work in this article are as following:On the base of literature, the purport and mode of the integration PDM with web, the advantage of the application of AvSP.net to PDM system developing are d i scussed.According to the actual condition of small and medium enterprises, PDM/Web system of 3-hierachy B/S architecture is set up, and the function, configuration and operational process of each modulo such as project/task management, organization management, product structure management module, in the PDM system are planned in detail.The approaches of applying ASP.net to the realization of PDM/web system are proposed, by which ActiveX and SQL are used in the integration of PDM with CAD and CAPP, and the operations to accomplish such functions as product data querying, file upload and download.The function and structures of product structure tree are discussed in detai 1. ASP. not is used to realize the product structure tree and the product structure management mode with the core of product structure tree.The techniques of the second development of Solid Kdge and crealing controllers by using VB are introduced, and the integration of PDM with Solid Edge and webdriving of part solids are realized by inserting the controllers in ASF. net pages.The interrelated operations of project/task management, organization management and product structure management modules of POM system are real i zed by using database techniques, which makes the system really practical and effective.The web browse of 3-D solid model is realized in the product structure management module.Work involved in this paper makes practical exploration in PDM fields , a specific solution of PDM system and examples in crane product data management arc given.
