With the global competitions more and more extensive, the manufactures are facing the all-time challenge. Traditional design models have been far away from satisfying the rapid market demands .To survive, the manufactures should pay much attention on new design theories and methods .Considered the diversity ,individuation of rapid market demanding ,the enterprises must make fully use of net-centered information technologies ,use of new design and manufacture models to improve theirs immanent competitions .And in order to transfer design resources distributed in clime rapidly ,a collaborative design model based on local enterprises and distributed enterprises is necessary .Computer Supported Collaborative Work(CSCW ) has been put forward in 1980's ,much researches have been done and some have been applied in reality .The background of computer supported collaborative work is based on people's mass-work , researching the communication between people to people with internet instead of traditional communication between people and computer in distributed zones .Unfortunately, most work has been done on technologies of computer supported work ,little on computer supported collaborative work .In this paper, the author analyzes the main features, main models and relative key technologies of computer support collaborative design with the analysis of common design actions and collaborative work concepts .The whole framework of this prototype system is supported by J2EE, Including safety control model, document management, collaborative model and engineer data calculating model, and the effective relations between models guarantee the whole system run well-off.The followings are the main contents of this paper:1, Point-to point and point-to-multipoint communication techniques are studied, and implemented by Java multi-thread and TCP Socket to support collaborative design in networking environment.2, Making a summary of Java multi-media framework, analyzing the basis features, typical structures and related acknowledge .A desktop-share system is set up with the combining of JMF and RTP/RTCP protocol. Comparing with softwares based on COM, this system consumes less computer resource, and the customers' computer or server's computer can receive real-time multi-media dates with the premise of keeping distributed computer's nature work.3, Making a summary on concepts and some definitions of project management. And the documents and drawings generated in design process are managed well with project management concepts.4, Listing the design processes to a axis, and a calculating model based on WEB is set up for the concern to some parameters related to a axis, which will be sure make the design work convenient.
