Application And Research Of Three-tier Distributed HIS Based On C/S Model

Since the 1990s, the whole world has entered a new era of prosperity. The development of economy leads to the increase of information industry. Information becomes one of the most important economic resources. In order to promote the medical system information process, on May 19,1995, China Sanitation Department declared that China began to implement Golden Health Project. Hospital Information System is one of important parts of Golden Health Project. It is not only the main original data source of Golden Health Project, but also the data processing and storage unit. As a hospital management system, it is useful to improve the hospital management level, medical efficiency, and medical service quality. The traditional two-tier HIS can not satisfy the needs of the hospital in extension, maintenance etc. The multi-tier HIS is commended because of the better security, extension, maintenance, reuse merits.The thesis is based on Gangbei Hospital Information System named GBHIS. According to the characteristics of HIS and the merits of three-tier C/S model, this thesis analyses the three-tier distributed HIS, and presents the design of Gangbei Medicine Warehouse Management System named GBYKGL by using the MIDAS based on DCOM protocol. At first, it presents a perfect analysis for HIS and the goal of the system, and then explores the three-tier HIS framework. This can provide these technological support: security, reliability, flexibility, maintenance and extension. At last, the GBYKGL, the subsystem of GBHIS, is analysed, whose data model is also designed by way of Object-oriented Modeling technique. The thesis also analyses the setup, configure, stabilization of mid-tier application server, user authorization control, mass data processing, system extension and maintenance in detail.The fact shows that HIS based on three-tier and C/S model has the following merits: excellent security, reliability, good extension, good maintenance etc. Therefore, it meets the needs which include: a huge number of hospital information operations, information security, high information share, excellent real time operation, low cost on system update and maintenance.
