Development And Application Of Mis Based On Three-Tier Structure

With software development technology and development tools improved ceaselessly, MIS models have evolved from M/T (Mainframe/Terminal) model to B/S model, by C/S model, correspondingly,the system architecture has developped from single-tier structure to 3-tier,by 2-tier.With the wide application of the OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) techniques, the component technique has come into use so as to improve development efficiency and quality of software,the component technique makes C/S develop from 2~tier structure to 3-tier one. Windows DNA is a framework which is used to construct component-based three-tier application system. Produced by Microsoft, it is aimed at how to develop a robust, stable and expansive distributed network application. With the rapid growthin network application, Web is now widely used for its abundance in information and convenience to browse,so the C/S model has been evolved into the B/S model. This dissertation describes the evolution of the distributed application system, and thelogical structure and functional partition of the three-tier structure are analyzed in some detail, moreover, the comparison and analysis are made among two-tier, three-tier C/S model and B/S model. It also presents a comprehensive analysis concerning typical component technique-COM/DCOM/COM+ of Microsoft; The introduction of the three-tier (multi-tier) structure based on Windows DNA is made in detail; additionally ,there is a penetrating research into the technology of WEB database and data access, furthermore ,The three-tier model is practised by the MIS of quality of locomotive, which is developed by the author and other developpers. The instances are made for the system's design and accomplishment, including the E-R diagrams, the system functional partition, the ASP programming andrealization, the development ang deployment of ActiveX controls, the creating of the remote data object and so on.
