The Study Of Chinese Newspaper In MALAYSIA

Chinese Newspaper is one of the three greatest pillars in the overseas Chinese society in Malaysia and is an important part of the overseas Chinese society. Nowadays, most studies on this research are superficial and they only introduce the history and present situation of the Chinese newspaper in Malaysia. This article tries to study the Chinese Newspaper in Malaysia more systematic and deeply from the angle of history, sociology and Journalism, etc. During my staying in Malaysia, I did many on-site inspections, collected a large quantity of first-hand materials, visited many reporters and editors of the Chinese newspaper, and took a lot of photos of the early Chinese newspaper, therefore the research bases on firm and authentic materials. The article involves the history, present condition, characteristics, social functions, mutual-actions with Chinese education and ethnic Chinese association, business competition and political control of the Chinese Newspaper in Malaysia. In the end, this article also includes a graph of all Chinese News Daily and many photos of early Chinese newspaper in Malaysia. The research will give readers further knowledge about Chinese Newspaper in Malaysia.
