The Image Of China Apperaed In Malaysia Chinese Newspapers

The objective of this study is to investigate the new coverage over china issues in overseas china media, hence to reveal the establishment of the “china-national- image” in these media founded on their reporting feature. “Nanyang Siang Pau” of malaysia was chosen as a representative sample in our study. Apart from revealing the reporting features of this medium, we tried to analysis the reason behind its unique pattern of new coverage over china-related news through different aspects, by applying the views of communication, political science and sociology.then providing my advice to the external publicity.Using the framing theory and content analysis, the thesis defined and analysised the content frames of china-related news reports occurred in Nanyang Siang Pau, then took president xi visited malaysia and Xinjiang seventh event as example.The study shown that the Nanyang Siang Pau adopted a objective stance in general, the friendly frame was the main frame in describing china.In the end, the study advice china should pay attention to the overseas china media,especially their role in proving the international image of china.
