Structural general reliability analysis and optimization are of great importance inmodern engineering structural research and study. This paper mainly deals with thesubjects below: the problem on FEM analysis, general reliability analysis andcalculation, and optimization based on the general reliability of the random or fuzzyparameters structure; and also brings forward a method for getting the fuzzy answersfrom the FEM equation by taking the fuzzy multiplier from a fuzzy variable; In theFEM analysis and structural reliability optimization, the randomcity and fuzziness ofthe structural physical parameters and the load applied on the structures are allconsidered. This paper reasons out the general reliability expressions of the fuzzyparameters truss constrained by a kind of fuzzy allowance. Based on finite element andgeneral reliability analysis, the structural optimization design model based onprobability is constructed, which refers the cross-section areas as the design variables,refers the minimum of the frame's weight as the object with the reliability restricts ofstress and displacement. And the model was applied in the backup structure of anantenna with GA,which was modified properly for the application in the trussoptimization and realized by programmes. Finally some numerical examples show thatthe method and general reliability expressions in this paper are valid and feasible.
