With the development of aeronautics and communications industry, the need of large-scale structure satellites is increasing day by day in the world. But there is a contradiction between the needs and rockets'carrying capacity and delivery capacity. A type of satellite antenna called deployable satellite antenna with antenna resorting to bundling before in orbit and deploying after reach to designated orbit can balance the conflict, and these satellites attracted a lot of attention from different countries. Deployable satellite antenna may take many forms, including the architecture style, ring - column, truss type, etc.In recent years, the truss deployable satellite antenna was in study both in abroad and domestic, but the level of research is relatively backward in the domestic. An aerospace science and technology corporation is developing 12.5m caliber of truss-type deployable satellite antenna, and planning to launch in late of 12th five-year plan. Currently, the development is in phase of design improving and experiment, it is now lack of all kinds of reliability data, and difficult to use precise mathematical model for quantitative analysis. In this paper, the truss deployable satellite antenna is the research object, after introducing this type of antenna's working principles and structure composition, the reliability of the antenna is analyzed with different analysis method. The failure rate of the top event of antenna system is analyzed and estimate by using the fuzzy fault tree analysis. The analysis process takes the uncertainty of the project and incomplete data into account, and provides the top event and a number of important intermediate events confidence intervals with different thresholds. At the same time the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is also provided according to the working principles and system compositions, the analysis process was focusing on antenna system failures that may occur and their impacts antenna system reliability, and judging the level of failures. The last part is about the allocation of the reliability index of the antenna, this paper discussed allocation methods that commonly used in the reliability indicators. Based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and analytic hierarchy process, antenna allocation model of system design failure rate is established, which can provide some help or reference for designers improving design parameters and system design.
