| With the gradual popularization of computer network, the function and the position of the network management become more and more outstanding. In recent years, the research of the network management remains very active; furthermore, numerous software manufacturers keep on investing in these fields. Particularly when Java emerged, the network management for cross-platform was relieved out from the low-efficiency, trivial development gradually. Now market has urgent requirement in commercial network management system which is powerful and independent of specific software and hardware platform.The research of architecture in network management is a fundamental and important component part in the research fields of network management. Recently, the distributed network management has gradually replaced the traditional centralized network management and thus became the mainstream way. Basal distributed supported-environment can be classified into three main kinds: COM+, EJB and CORBA. CORBA, as industry standard, has the most extensive manufacture support and the application adaptability among them.Through analyzing the current distributed network management system architecture (basing on CORBA) deeply and comprehensively and aiming at the shortage and defect of it, the writer introduces Web Service technology and puts forward a new distributed architecture model. The Web service technique is a new integration standard basing on the heterogeneous platform, which has the perfect mechanism of definition, publication and discovery. Therefore, it will be extensively existing foundation techniques in the future. The introduction of Web Service technology makes the new model has good performance in firewall crossing, client "zero" deployment and mobile supported. Besides analysis and argumentation of the model's principle, the network management software based on new model is given in this paper in order to prove the new model' s feasibility on the development level.
