With the development of computer techniology and various computing algorithms, the technique of system simulation becomes more and more mature, and then is applied into supply chain management. With focusing on the issue, this thesis presents results in two aspects: supply chain simulation modeling and simulation application. First, this thesis introduces the study of supply chain, the basic concepts of simulation and supply chain simulation modeling method. At the same time, deterministic and stochastic supply chain models are introduced and the shortcomings of these models are pointed out, based on the measurements of supply chain designing. Then integrated multi-objectives supply chain model (ISCM), which is the base of the following simulation study, is introduced. This thesis analyzes the infrastructure of ISCM, including framework, strategic model and operational model. Based on the objective function requirement of ISCM, software Lingo is analyzed and chosen as the simulation tool for ISCM. This thesis discusses the simulation processes of ISCM, and analyzes the adjustment of model parameters in detail. As the test of ISCM, a supply chain case is simulated, and then some relations between supply chain measurements, which are guidance for supply chain decision, are given. As an application of supply chain simulation, supply chain design toward manufacturing policy choice is studied. The development of manufacturing policy choice study is given. Based on the analysis of MTO/MTS policy, manufacture product model and distributor model are developed, and an algorithm of the manufacturing policy choice is presented. Then a design model of supply chain (Extended integrated multi-objective model of supply chain: EISCM) for manufacturing policy choice is proposed. Based on a supply chain case, the decision procedure of EISCM is given and the efficiency of EISCM is testified. In addition, EISCM is compared with another model (target compare model: TCM), focusing onobjective problem, hypothesis and algorithm structure. Then a conclusion is made that no model can solve all problems associated with MTO/MTS policy choice and each model has its restriction in application.
