The Digital University Framework System Based On Web Services And Core Technology Research

In this paper, we discuss the digital university' s basic concept and his tendency, present the main problems in the digital university constructions. From the actual requirement of the digital university constructions, based on the digital university' s concept, using the new web services technology, we build one of the high efficient, safe, loose coupling and high integration digital university framework system, and do some research on the core technologies in this paper.This paper builds the digital university' s core database on the platform of Oracle9i DataBase, and realizes the tables and tables' relationships in the core database on the standard of Education Management Information Standard published by Education Department in PRC, which is the data layer component in the digital university. Using the Oracle9i AS as the J2EE application server and EJB as the developing technology, this paper designs the data logic layer and business logic layer in the digital university, which is the application layer component in the digital university. Also using the Oracle9i AS as the SOAP server, this paper deploys the application layer component' s applications to web services based on the web services technology, which is the web services layer component in the digital university. In the client layer component of the digital university, this paper develops the digital university' s client applications based on the web services, using the portable language of Java. One of the realized client applications is Student Management System of Wuhan University of Technology. The above four components compose the digital university framework system.During the process of building the digital university framework system, this paper uses the three core technology: UML modeling technology, EJB component technology and web services technology. TheUML technology is used to model the whole system and realize some codes. EJB technology is used to develop the practical applications in the digital university. Web services technology is used to deploy the practical applications in the application layer component to web services, which is called by the clients.Above the high efficient, safe, loose coupling and high integration digital university framework system, makes use of advanced web services technology and provides a series of the whole framework for the digital university constructions. And the same time, it provides a brand-new mode for the digital university constructions in all the universities in China.
