The paper studied the development of VXIbus C-Size 64-channel Data Acquisition Module. Data Acquisition Module is a general module that is necessary to construct all kinds of VXI system. Its research is of great significance for promoting the development and application of domestic VXIbus technology.VXIbus C-Size 64-channel Data Acquisition Module is a register-based instrument with VXIbus interface. According to the reserved scanning address sequence, channel range and trigger mode, it can sample data. The module can change sample time and sample length. The sample data can be disposed by the CPU on board and then be stored in 64K Ram.The main contents are stated as followed:1. Based on many technological reference books, the paper makes the discussion and analysis of the whole scheme. The integrated register based VXIbus interface is designed by using the advanced CPLD technology. This method simplifies the interface circuit design and improves its reliability.2. High-resolution A/D converter-CS5101A is used as the core of the analog-to-digital conversion. Peripheral circuit is carefully configured. 64-channel analog signal input circuit is built with High-speed, high-resolution CMOS multiplexer-MAX308/MAX309, realizing 64-channel single-way signal input and 32-channel two-way input, flexible scanning and channel auto ranging.3. The powerful digital signal processor-TMS320F206 is selected as the local CPU. DSP can deal with the sample data at real time and auto calibration, take off the load of master CPU, reducing the quantity of hardware and improving the system reliability. There is 32K Word Flash Ram which can be used as program memory in F206, which is favorite to update the system in the future.4. The high-speed data buffer is designed by adopting CPLD and general high-speed static memory.5. It is introduced in detail that the technological requirements and programming of the instrument driver of the VXIbus data acquisition module.
