Furnace flame detection based on digital image processing is the popular trend of flame detection technology. Traditional methods of flame detection are studied. Current detection methods are analyzed and the reason of their defection is found out. According to dynamic characteristic of combustion and various disturbances, flame images are smoothed and enhanced.
