Interface Circuit Design And Application Based On PC's Bus

Interface circuit design is a very important part in industrial process controlling and testing systems. MCU circuit can be used in controlling and testing. But it brought some default like using software resource difficultly, the less data storage and amending program difficultly. With the vapid development of computer technology and the reducing of its price, using computer to realize data acquisition directly can make efficient use of system resource of computer. Virtual instrument can be realized with perfect software and many kinds of function can be obtained. Interface circuit design is the most important in realizing this function. The development of bus technology brought convenience. ISA Bus is one of bus used widely. The function and timing of ISA Bus is analyzed in detail. According to the structure and characteristic of SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor), The interface circuit of SRM testing system based on ISA Bus was designed in this paper. The interface circuit can acquire the parameters of SRM and works reliably and stably.ISA Bus had some advantage but the default of ISA Bus was showed in some aspects. The speed of ISA Bus has become the bottleneck between high A/D converters where requests very high speed. ISA Bus interface card can't configure resource automatically. There will be no place for ISA Bus after the vanish of ISA slots on computer mainboard. So the interface circuit design based on PCI Bus is presented in this paper. PCI Bus specification and timing are analyzed in this paper. Configuration space is researched. The method of realizing PCI Bus interface circuit is analyzed. The method of Using universal interface chip PCI9052 to realize it is presented. The questions that should be considered in the side ofPCI are moved to the side of local. So they become simple and direct. It realizes high speed data acquisition and PNP.
