With the development of the computer software and hardware, the application of the embedded system in the industry control area becomes much more extensively than before. However, the embedded system can not directly use the configuration software which has gained great achievement in industry control area. At the same time the embedded system in the industry control area urgently needs an application program which is similar to the configuration software to design the control software which fits all kinds of situations effectively, quickly and conveniently. As the development of the embedded system and the configuration software in the industry control, the integration of them will be the inevitable tendency and the research of the embedded configuration software is urgent.This paper analyses the system architecture of the embedded configuration software, elaborates the function, the composition and the data flow of it and discusses the design of the graphic user interface which is an important element of the embedded configuration software. Based the discussed results, this paper raises the development architecture which is composed of the development circumstances and the running circumstances: On the system platform of Windows 2000, the object model, the dynamic model and the function model in the development circumstance of the embedded configuration system graphic user interface system are constructed with the help of object-oriented modeling techniques and C++ language. The development circumstance of the embedded configuration software graphic user interface system is built drawing assistance from the IDE Visual C++ 6.0; Windows CE OS is run on the embedded platform CX 1000 on which the running circumstance of the embedded configuration software graphic user interface system is constructed. The functions such as loading and explaining graphic configuration equipment files, displaying the graphic user interface are achieved. The network communication model is adopted to communicate from the developing circumstance to the running circumstance. The client of FTP in the running circumstance is implemented drawing assistance from the EVC and some correlated settings of the developing circumstance are done with the help of Serv-U FTP Server software. All these make these equipment files of the embedded configuration software graphic user interface can be downloaded effectively from the development circumstance to the running circumstance.At last, this paper tests and verifies the functions of graphic user interface system for the embedded configuration software. The conclusion is that this system has abundant graphic elements, can draw project graphic interface quickly, supports the linking with the real-time database and the history database, supports switching between the project graphic interfaces and renovation, possesses characteristics such as very visualization and extraordinary liberalization. In a word, this paper can be used as reference for similar researches.
