Classification And Forecasting In Data Mining And Its Application For Decision Support System

Nowadays the society is full of all kinds of information. It becomes more and more important to make the best of the information. As a result, more and more people focus data mining and decision support system, as a burgeoning knowledge discovery technology and an assistant decision-making tool respectively.Among numerous research embranchments of data mining, classification and forecasting have been the hot research topics all along. Many authors did a mass of work from all kinds of views, such as Stat., information theory and neural network etc. and obtain a series of important fruits. Based on the existing research fruits, some job is done in the paper as follows:1. The process model of classification and forecasting are discussed. The existing arithmetic is classified. Based on comparing their advantages and disadvantages, their applicability and deficiency are analyzed.2. Approaching to the deficiency of the present arithmetic, the paper brings forward a method of constructing conception hierarchy. The process about vacancy value is discussed too.3. A classification mining arithmetic based on conception hierarchy is put forward. The arithmetic constructs hierarchy by partial ordering and lattice, and chooses the best attribute set by information plus, then discusses its increment-learning edition; finally give a solution to process large data.Data mining, as a kind of new information acquirement tools, will be used in practice and people's life in a better degree if applying it to Decision Support System. In the paper, some work is done as follows:1. The reason that the research about traditional Decision Support System fell behind is analyzed, and data mining's status and effect in decision support system are discussed.2. The system framework of data warehouse and it's application status in china and overseas are introduced, the conjoint validity of data mining and data warehouse is probed into.3. A new kind of decision support system based on data warehouse and datamining is put forward, and its framework and key technology are discussed, then the specialty of the DSS is analyzed, finally the application of DSS in bank is discussed elementarily.
