Design And Realization On The Universities Recruitment Of Students Decision Support System

The decision support system is an emerging management information technology, it can provide each kind of decision support information for policy-maker, and can enhance quality and efficiency of the policy-making. Data Warehouse and Data Mining are two of the most active branches of database studying, developing and application, and also the key technology of new DSS. In recent years, with the enrollment of students in China's colleges and universities have been expanding, the authomatic acquisition of knowledge has become"the bottleneck"restricting universities recruitment of students developing further. Therefore, based on the establishment of the data warehouse and data mining technology universities recruitment of students decision support system, has the theory significance and the important practical value.The paper utilizes the data warehouse technology in the universities recruitment of students DSS, through analyzing the demand of the data warehouse about universities recruitment of students system, produces concrete design and the implementation plan about two subjects. The data mining of the paper is by the descriptive pattern and the predictive pattern two kinds of constitutions. The former uses FP-Growth algorithm that adopts pattern fragment growth method and only scans database twice. It is about an order of magnitude faster than the Apriori algorithm. The paper applies the FP-Growth algorithm in the system and forms the association rules of significance to the recruitment of students. According to the data of recruitment of students having the characteristics of predicting and discreteness, the latter applies Naive Bayesian classification algorithm to construct the predictable model to help students to select volunteer. By predicting unknown samples, the model has been the certain value to the recruitment of students.With the environments of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 system, the paper uses Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as the system development tools basing on data warehouse and data mining technology. Finally, the paper has realized the universities recruitment of students decision support experimental system and obtains the value of certain experimental results.
