In order to improve angriculture conservation tillage system of Dry-land Area further, the power consumption and throwing characteristic of the new-type sawtooth anti-blocking mechanism developed by Dr.Liao QingXi were investigated in this paper.Through design and analysis of the main parts of sawtooth anti-blocking mechanism, the main factor of influence on the performance of sawtooth anti-blocking mechanism is the rotary speed of main shaft, the trolley speed, the interval between moved cutter and static cutter, the distance between sawtooth and ground, the mulched straw and so on. According to the experiment purpose, the testing method of the power consumption of anti-blocking mechanism is determined.A software system based on virtual instruments is developed. It can get and process and nanlyze automaticly the datum.By the experiments on sawtooth anti-blocking mechanism, a Linear Regress Equation is developed. The results shows that the factors which influence the power consumption include the rotary speed of main shaft, the trolley speed, the interval between moved cutter and static cutter and the mulched straw, the distance between sawtooth and ground has the less influence than the above factors.A high-speed photography system based on virtual instrments is developed. It can continuously acquire and auto-save pictures. By the experiments on sawtooth anti-blocking mechanism under different situations. Pictures analysis shows that anti-blocking capability is excellent when the rotary speed of main shaft is 650 r/min,the trolley speed is 0.3 m/s,he interval between moved ,sutter and static cutter and the mulehed straw is 10mm and the mulrhed straw is 11250 kg/hm2.In addition, image processing system is developed with many techniques including reversal, contract enhancement edge detection etal.. the demands of research and visual effect can be meet.
