Because of the obvious disadvantages of traditional processors such as closed system, limited functions, poor expandability, high development and maintenance costs, slow technical renewal speed and the limited capabilities analyzing and processing data, and because of the apparent advantages of virtual instruments such as open system, good expandability, low development and maintenance costs, quick technical renewal speed, unlimited capabilities analyzing and processing data and easy connection with networking devices, this paper designs PC-based virtual measuring and processing instruments consisting of Data Acquisition and Storage Instrument, Wave Generator, FFT Analyzer, Hilbert Transform Analyzer, Hartley Transform Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Infinite Impulse Response Digital Filter and Finite Impulse Response Digital Filter, and expands their functions for friendly customization of the user interface, good expandability and easy manipulation based on LabWindows/CVI6.1 under the conditions learning and studying the digital signal processing and analyzing theories and the corresponding algorithms. At the same time, this paper also develops the special-purpose measuring programs aiming at NI SCXI-1122 isolated multiplexer amplifier module, NI SCXI-1520 strain gauge input module and NI SCXI-1531 module for accelerometers and microphones with LabVIEW 6.1, and compiles the corresponding test procedures successfully.
