With the rapid development of science technology, our country print also acquires unprecedented development, but the print product quantity is still a puzzle of the whole print industry. In the high-speed printing process, the presswork will appear color tinty, dissymmetry, scraper nick and flaw due to the factors of production equipment, production environment and manipulator. While this quality problem may be ignored because of the high speed printing, large amount of waster will be produced and the press factory will suffer tremendous economic loss.Therefore, to resolve this problem, we developed a monitor system for high-speed printing product quantity. The system makes use of the high-speed synchronous shoot and digital image processing technique to make the presswork figure redisplay stationary in the display apparatus. The technique make the manipulator distinguish the waster from the presswork in real time, and resolved the quantity problem on time, so the discarding of product are degrade and the production efficiency is substantial increase.The main work and results are summed up as follows:First, the total design concept of this system is given. The high-speed and high precise industry color CCD vidicon is used in the system and the vidicon takes photo of the presswork in real time and sends video frequency signal to the color image card in the control of the landscape orientation moving scanner and portrait moving scanner along with synchronous signal generator and synchronous instant collection method. Under the function of the image processing software, the image card decode the video frequency signal, A/ D convert, comparison zoom, cut, color change processing and so on, the output of processed image data are collected in the EMS memory by the PCI bus and then the image processing technique such as image partition, image compression and image storage areunder processed. At last the completed processed image data are displaying in the display apparatus. Under the system software and hardware control, the system function is realized, such as adjust the control of diaphragm, focal distance and focus and the control of the image shot, screen monitor, landscape orientation scan, horizontal scan etc.Afterwards, then the hardware design of the system is discussed in detail. Based on the locale requirement, the solid image sensor is used to take the photo. There are two kinds of solid image sensors: Charge Coupled Device (CCD) and CMOS sensor. The paper analysis the characteristic of two kind sensors and the CCD is chosen to use. Take the characteristic and price of all kinds image card into consideration, we choose OK30/S type image card in the system. OK30/S is based on PCI bus and is adapt to image processing, industrial control and multimedia compression etc. OK30/S has power ability in filtrating saw tooth phenomenon, therefore it is quite suitable in dynamic image collection system.The subordinate equipments of the system include landscape orientation moving scanner, synchronous signal generator and synchronous lighting device, the upper computer and down microprocessor work together to control the device. The main computer and Single Chip Micyoco have different voltage, the voltage converting is needed to be executed. The system uses MAX232 to accomplish this task. Subordinate equipments control is based on AT89S52, the paper introduce the single chip system, and give the hardware design in detail.High speed taking photo technique is discussed in detail in the third chapter of the paper. First the chapter discusses the relation of printing speed and time of exposure and the result imply that blurred image will be obtained if CCD is used directly. To achieve the clear image, there are two methods: shutter method and instant light method to apply. Instant light method control the time of exposure by controlling the instant light impulse in shutter open.
