In this thesis, I completed the software and hardware designing of high speed communication card based on PCI&DSP. The TMS320C32 DSP made in TI Corp was the key part of this interface card. It controls the transmission between periphery parts and PCI local bus, taking on the local CPU of this board.This thesis mainly made up of two parts of content. In the first part, firstly referred to the structure of C32, its application, also introduced the software development environment briefly. Then tell about the main features of PCI local bus and its protocol connecting with the Add on bus. Bring forward a simple interface scheme by S5933 chip and introduced the application of this chip made by AMCC Corp.In the second part, mostly emphasized how to design the communication board in hardware and software. The hardware designing include the interface with engine controller, such as D/A conversion. We chose the AD75089 which was produced by AD Corp. This is a parallel port digital to analog conversion, and I give the presentation about its structure and connection scheme. In order to resolve the contradiction between faster computation and slower display, a buffer storage also needed. The IDT72235LB is a 2K 32bit first in first out buffer storage ,which can be used to better the transmission. Mainly recommend the DSP working process and designed the schematic document. At the end of this section is some program of the DSP control process, such as processor initialization, DMA transmission, and D/A conversion control. At last chapter, introduced the Device Driver program development of PCI, the Windows Driver is a simple and efficient software which can be used to develop it.In this thesis I mainly applied the new device of digital signal processors on the communication board, which is used as the interface to the realtime simulation systems. This is a new scheme we have contact with. I think this thesis must deserved some use for reference and ameliorate aspect to the others.
