| This thesis analysis the causes leading to damage to the motors under every load, and presents the developments of an intelligent monitoring protection system controlled by the 16 byte microcomputer 80C196KC for use with motors as well as shows some breakdown judgements on the motor breakdown phenomena such as the leak electricity of motor, the deficiency, the short circuit and imbalance of three phase current. The design idea on both hardware and software is also given.The 80C196KC microcomputer is used as the control core. The system is provided with A/D conversion interface used to sampling the input cun-ent of the motor and the structure is compact. Compared with the uniting protection instrument for motor nowadays, this system increases functions such as dynamic LCD screen driven circuit to display different information and protect storage circuit used to record breakdown data when system powers down.Now the 20 samples is improved on the dependability and temperature influence problem through continuous use of more than 3 months. Every design function and performance index accord with requires of local experiment, and anti-jamming capability is strong, the monitor precision is reasonable. It can be monitoring the working status of motor online, and now it has began the works of batch production.
