Based-Agent Distributed Collaborative Computing

With the rapid development of network technology and the globalization process of organization, ways of process begin to change correspondingly, such as, the development from concentration to distribution, and the application model demands to convert from human-computer interaction model to human-human interaction model . How to build new distributed computing environment to adapt to new ways of process and application model, which has drawn more and more experts' attention.This paper is oriented to the distributed collaborative computing under the background of distributed GIS, aiming to solve the problem of multi-user cooperative design through network. All of these works are based on the theories and methods of CSCW and multi-agent technology. In this paper CSCW and Agent technology are analyzed, distributed computing is studied, and besides, a cooperative design common frame based on agent—CoAgent Platform is presented. The frame adopts workflow technology and virtual design group theory to control and coordinate design process. And moreover, a support tool for group cooperative design in distributed GIS field is given and a corresponding cooperative work mechanism is put out.
