With the great boom of computer net and artifical intelligence technoloty, the word "agent" becomes more familiar with many computer documents and the development programmings of companies. For the outstanding features of agent technology, more and more people begin to pay attention to this new field.Noticed that there is little applicable achievement from the research and application of agent both domestic and overseas, and the research works are mainly in theory period, no successful mobile system appears. Further more, there are many problems such as security are concerned, they are no doubt big obstacles to the wide applications of agent technology.In order to solve above questions, this paper is devoted to develop a network information managerment system of distributed mobile agents. It aims at application of mobile agent, which belongs to a application research.In this paper, software agent and mobile agent technology are introduced systematically with features and applications of it. Also, IBM Aglet, the platform of mobile agent is introduced; the characters of Aglets, such as system architecture, mobile object model, messages, event models and design patterns are discussed. The emphasis is the security problem of mobile agent system, reasons of enumerated and solutions are given. Then, a network information managerment system, which makes use of the advantages of mobile agent is implemented with Aglets, this system is more flexible and efficient and easy to use than ever.As an advantage usage of Aglets, this paper put emphasis on the research of agent applications in Computer Supported Cooperative Work, the P2P model based mobile in CSCW agent is feasible and is more effective than traditional distributed technologies, which are represented by C/S model and correlative midware technology. The paper raises a scheme to realize the Peer-to-Peer model using mobile agent, with the travel design patterns, the agents can move to a terminal, at where has the resources they may need, to execute task. A distributed isomerous DataBase System is developed to test the above model, whose results are wonderful.
