Agent-based Middleware Technology

To enhance flexibility in current distributed multi-tired systems, this paper mainly dissertates middleware technology based on Agent. The paper first discusses Agent technology and its application in middleware, based on the analysis of the present situation and development of middleware technology. And then, according to the specialties of enterprise management information system, by the introduction of Agent technology, this article brings forward a middleware research model , that is, Agent - Based Middleware Model (ABM). This paper achieves the flexible service of system by making use of autonomy and mobility of mobile agent, which can enhance functional expansibility, can reduce the system maintenance and also can protect data security. In the following part, this paper gives a design for Nanjing Lukou International Airport's Management Infromation System (LKMIS) based on the research , and introduces the application of the research in LKMIS. At last, the paper gives evaluation to ABM and the system's performance, and makes some ameliorative suggestion.
