The Research And Design Of Exam Analysis System Based On Data Warehouse

Data warehousing and on-line analytical processing are essential elements of decision support,which has increasingly become a focus of the database industry. Many commercial products are now available,and all of the principal database management system vendors now have offerings in these areas. A data warehouse is a "subject-oriented,integrated,time-varying,non-volatile collection of data that is used primarily in organizational decision making",and it provide effective support for the related department and enterprise making strategy decision and long-term trend analysis.Exam Analysis System extends and enhances the anlysis function of Exam System Based On Semanic. It makes use of the Data warehousing and on-line analytical processing technology to analyze the data generated from examination on muti-level and muti-dimension.In this paper,we provides an overview of data warehousing theory and technology. We apply muti-dimension datacube to the analysis of the exam result,and present the whole analysis and design process of the system in detail. We concretely analyze some of the main problems during designation and implementation,such as data cleaning and transformation,dimension table and fact table designing,data cube creation and maintenance,and put forward some solution. At last,we look into the future of system development.
