Research And Design Of OLAP Exhibition Tool Based On Component Technology

The society is developing swiftly. The worldwide application of the computer and information technology has been changing people' s life, and the enterprise's operation method too. In an environment of severity market competition, it is necessary for the enterprise to apply the advanced computer and information technology to win the market.On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) is one of the data warehouse's important applications. It is a category of software technology that enables analysts, managers and executives to gain insight into data through fast, consistent, interactive access to a wide variety of possible views of information that has been transformed from raw data to reflect the real dimensionality of the enterprise as understood by the user.This paper carrys on the detailed discussion to the design of three layers of OLAP tool -KDOLAP based on the relationship, including multidimensional modeling based on star schema model, multidimension analyse technology, exhibition of analysis result and the realization of analysis query using SQL.In the paper, a kind of definition of the data cube is proposed and the standard operation of OLAP is explained, for examples, slice, dice, drill down, drill up and pivot etc.Finally, after modifying the component of decision cube, the KDOLAP's exhibition tool based on relationship is designed and implemented.
