Visual Simulation is an important embranchment of the modern Simulation technique. Visual Simulation is an immersing interactive entironment based on calculable information, it uses graphics and image technique in computer, according to the purpose of simulation, construct the 3-D model of the Simulation object and replay the real environment, to achieve a vivid effect. As one of the most front application of computer technique, it has been used by more and more investigate to work in industry design,oil reconnoiter,war game ,scientific visualization and other filed.The study of Visual Simulation all carried on the graphical workstation before, the high price of hardware and software can not be accepted by most user, after all, with the operation speed and other performance of personal computer being improved, and the appear of the top grade professional graphic block, to carry Visual Simulation of small or middle size on personal computer can reduce the price of hardware and software, so it become a direction of study of Visual Simulation.To realize the Visual Simulation based on PC need studying thorough the theory of Visual Simulation and the structure of simulation system , and put them into practice. The Visual Simulation is not exist alone, it's a part of network distributed environment, it always interactive with control simulation sub system .Relative to other simulation application, the Visual Simulation call for high real-time quality, its interactive ability with other sub simulation system and reuse ability are not good. Now America has put forward High Level Architecture, it use object-oriented idea to establish simulation system and implement the function of interactive operation and reuse under federation origination mode. To implement simulation application with HLA, is the direction of international Simulation technology.To the primary contradiction of real-time interactive Visual Simulation, limited bandwidth of network and real time transmitting parameter of relative to move sight, the control mechanism of 3-D visual object is discussed, under thedirection of HLA idea, the visual federal object model VFOM is established to describe the visual data distributing; the author designed a grammar of VFOM context and a Turing conversion mechanism, it will support exploitation of visual simulation in different field; the author analyses and apply OpenGL to design a method of implement real-time interactive Visual Simulation on PC, in additional with object-oriented program technique network communication technique multithreading technique, implement PC-VIRSP.There are 7 chapters in this thesis. In Chapter 1, the developments of virtual simulation is looked back, the aim and significance and the main search content is put forward. In Chapter2, the real-time virtual build theory and develop techniques is deeply researched. In Chapter 3, the author analyses the support for virtual simulation given by PC. In Chapter 4, design the PC-VIRSP, under the direction of HLA idea, the visual federal object model VFOM is established to describe the visual data distributing, and the system run frame is designed. In Chapter 5, the method to establish 3-D object scene storage structure is discussed, include the establishment of 3-D model, the grammar of VFOM context and a Turing conversion mechanism is designed. In Chapter 6, OpenGL move making theory is studied, in corroding to it, the scene draw flow is made, the author discuss the control mechanism of 3-D visual object, design the visual object move synchronization control model, with relational technique, implement the simulation drive. In Chapter 7, the author give a analysis of demo, and discuss the direction of further study. In Chapter 8, the author make a summary of the whole work.
