The Research And Realization On Network Accounting System Based On Proxy

With the development of campus network, Proxy server becomes a popular solution joining campus network to CERNet or Internet. Proxy server itself has no function of accounting management, so how to count the network fee is a problem need to be solved urgently in campus network's management. This paper introduces a network accounting system based on proxy server, discusses the method of design and development of the system. It analyses the functions of Proxy server in network management, and give an implementation method of Proxy server on campus network through an example of MS Proxy server. It discusses the method of data-gathering of proxy server, designs the data structure and functions of the accounting system. The system with functions of fee inquiring, traffic analysis and user managing is composed of following five modules: paper, system ,register, proxy server inquiring. Using the object oriented programming language, we have realized the functions of the accounting system.
