In recent years,computer technology has made great progress at a rapid pace.Inasmuch as plenty of new technologies have been constantly emerging and countless advanced equipment is gradually widespread,campus network has been swiftly constructed.However,the earlier network on campus is difficult to serve the current needs,since the number of users is dramatically increasing and new applications continuously spreading.Within the setting of a vocational college,this study will carefully analyze the existing network on campus,identify problems in the current system,and solve them by re-planning and re-designing.Concerning the overall information-based construction in the school,in particular,it will focus on constructive proposals based on analyzation and designation.Our goal is to upgrade the entire network with better economy,strong pertinence and high efficiency.Based on the analysis of the actual situation in a vocational college,we will mainly reshape the whole network on campus,proposing a more reasonable,three layered structure.We will redesign the very core of the network and upgrade the key switches of firewall and other network equipment,so that the entire campus network can be more reasonable in compatibility between the new and old equipment and more expandable in future.Along with the impressive increase in utility system,management of the server and its maintenance could become even more troublesome.This study will thus explore the virtualization of servers,upgrade relevant storage systems,and improve both in management and security of the database.In order to solve the problem in managing the database,which is unable to do a real-time intercommunication between old and new campuses,there is a need to analyze and design the VPN system in between.In order to solve the problem in covering the network of optical fibers,which appears too small,there is certainly a demand of proposal for its main body,so that the need in constructing the network,video surveillance and other systems is fulfilled.With the settlement of more and more equipment,the original computer room might not meet the demand of utilization.This study is thus devoted both to the construction of a new computer center and to the design and the selection of equipment with concern for the lightning protection and the universal polar stereographic coordinate system and others.In order to build a “safe campus”,improve the safety management,design and build a network of video surveillance with high-definition.With this kind of upgrade on campus,the security and reliability of the network should be greatly improved.Virtual servers would make the management of servers more scientific and convenient and their utility more safe and stable;the new dual memory system would offer a high grade security for all databases;the construction of the VPN system both on old and new campuses would greatly increase the ability to collaborate in between;the new,main body of the network of optical fibers would achieve a full coverage of important sites and bring security to the construction of other systems;the new computer center would provide a safe,high-quality and stable environment for the whole network on campus;and the network of video surveillance with high-definition would enhance the safety and development of the school.When such an upgrade is carefully carried out for the network on campus,in short,a great satisfaction would be no doubt achieved.
