Sichuan Posts And Telecommunications Institute Of Technology Campus Network Design

More and more enterprises are joining the trend to establish their own internal networks to share and process information, to build and raise their CI. With consideration of the present situation, this thesis proposes an economical, practical, feasible "Sichuan Post and Telecommunication College (SPTC) Campus Network System" and describes the specific technological requirements in designing the network. After analyzing the importance and necessity of a campus network in the college, the thesis puts forward the basic goal and overall principle of network design. Then it analyzes the basic theory and important technology required by the network system, such as the transmission media, the network access technology, TCP/IP and so on. For the network security and network management, the thesis carries on the analysis one by one in the fourth part. At last, it stresses the significance of the proposed campus Internet and offers a right choice of the appropriate equipments for the net.
