Design & Construction Of Relational Model Based Workflow Management System

With the development of computer applications,many kinds of information system are widely used to the process management of office automation system.Workflow Management System is a effective tool to support the automation of business process.The workflow technology supported information system has great flexibility,so the research of workflow application become one of the hot spots in software developing field. During the course of Constuction Project Management Information System developing, the management of business process is the main problem to be solved. Traditional information system usually has to change a lot of program due to the alternation of business process,regulation of organzation and people,etc. In order to accelerate the process of system development,adapt to the regulation of office workflow in the process of system running ,enhance the system flexibility,we development a set of WfMS based on relational database which named JkcFlow. This system can be used to the definition,browse,and running control and monitor in the information workflow of office automation.In this article we describe the designing idea and construction method of JkcFlow.Five chapters are included in this article. Firstly we present the developing history of workflow technology, the motive and significance of the thesis ,the contents and main results of the research.The second part is the overview of workflow management technology, in which involved correlative concepts of workflow and their interrelations, the workflow management reference model. The third chapter is the kernal part of this paper, in which we present the global structure of System, the key technique and characteristic of the system.In the forth chapter we give PanZhiHua Construction Project Management Information System as an example to display the application of JkcFlow. At last the research production is sumed up.Using JkcFlow the design of Information System can be made easily by process definition and form designing. JkcFlow can be used to build the primitive model of office automation system quickly,which enhances the efficiency of system developing. The construction of Relational Model based Workflow Management System create a kind of new development mode of information system,It is a good reference to likewise system.
