According to the particular characteristic of the water supply system and actual sample, the operation principle and system structure of variable frequency and constant pressure water supply control system based on IPC and PLC are introduced.With SIEMENS S7-200 PLC , MM430 inverter and IPC-610H industrial computer, the analog voltage signal from the pressure sensor is converted to digital signal by PLC, and is used as the input signal of PID ; The output of the PID can change the frequency of inverter, the motor speed and the pressure of water supply are changed.The PLC program, monitoring and configuration of HMI are fulfilled by Step7/Micro, the design and realization of PLC program are given in this paper. Research of PLC logic control, PID technology and realization of HMI are fully detailed.The system is based on KINGVIW software to build the pumping station monitoring system. And the PLC is used in the system to form a distributed control system. The system can realize data and signal acquisition,tread forecasting and has the alarming function.With data exchange between PLC and IPC, the IPC has offered a good platform, and the ability of the control system is improved .In this paper, the equipment configuration and operating interface of KINGVIEW are introduced.The design has successfully been applied in the pumping station.
