This project is one of the subprojects of high-speed wireless video transmission system. Using DSP technology and relevant ASIC device to realize motion picture's compress code and decompress decode in real time is its main task.The high-speed wireless video transmission system is one of the equipment needed badly most in development of information industry so far. Its market demand is great, and be used most especially in the departments, such as traffic, finance, public security, fire control, reducing natural disasters, disaster relief, tele-medicine, military equipment, petroleum, mine, etc.. Motion picture's compress code and decompress decode in real time is the key part of highspeed wireless video transmission system.Nowadays, the scientific and technical circle and engineering circle pay more attention to Digital Signal Processor (programmable DSP chip), the one of the most important fields of realtime signal processing. The compress technology of multimedia, such as digital picture, sound, etc., has become one of the research focuses in the discipline domain of information again. How to combine advanced and high-efficient picture compress technology with the strong data processing ability of DSP to develop the practical wireless video transmission system, which the market can accept, is one of the current application hot points.This paper introduces a method to realize stand-alone video data's compress code and decompress decode and reliable transmission of video data, and expounds the design processing and hardware and software development.The main points of the paper are as follows:1. Introduces the hardware structures of ADSP2181 of AD Inc., DSP resource allocation, peripheral device interface's designing, programming and debugging.2. Introduces operation principle and interface circuit design of video CODEC ADV611.3. Introduces operation principle and interface circuit design of Video Input Processor SAA7111 and Video Output Processor SAA7185.4. Designs and develops stand-alone video data's compress code and decompress decode system. Realizes motion picture's compress code and decompress decode in real time, and self-adaptation control of data flow.
