The Application Of Distributed Database Technology In Teaching Information Management System

Since the 21st century, China's education system reform is increasingly going into depth. For the development of quality of the whole nation, college enrollment quota increases progressively 30% each year. The number of students enrolling colleges increases far more than that of the equipments and resources. In order to ensure the quality of teaching and yield the greatest returns on the existing equipments and facilities, it is necessary to develop an opening, distributing and decision-making educational administration system. By the analysis of the present situation and characteristic of the educational administration system, In this paper, the author puts forward the design idea of the system based on TCMMDB. Its PostgreSQL is a distributed DBMS and can combine all the DBSs from every sector distributed in different sites of the college relying on the CN so as to constitute a multi-database academic information management network system. Each data structure of the physical nodes is identical and the data consistency can be kept by duplicate and FF. This distributed academic information management system can be set up with the existing database management system, which can save a lot of resources for the college. The contribution of the system will be on economic benefit and social benefit by being well content with information resource sharing among the sectors of the college.
