The Digital RF Memory or DRFM is an adaptation of today's signal processing techniques to historical signal recording principles. In essence, it permits the indefinite and non-degraded storage of radio frequency signals in digital form. Once stored, the signals can be transcribed back into an exact replication of the original signal whenever desired. Ultra high speed data acquisition is the main technique in DRFM.The most common use of the DRFM is for replication of complex, coherent signals usually representing radar return signals. The DRFM permits generation of appropriate radar returns to chirped, frequency coded, phase coded, pulse coded, or other similar type coherent radars with pulse to pulse or CW modulations. The DRFM can store a transmitted signal of the radar and replicate it on command. Properly implemented, in addition to radar signals, the DRFM can generate noise jamming and other electromagnetic signals typically experienced in the EW environment. Other difficult to generate deception spectrums can be easily implemented by analysis of the desired spectrum. Once digitized at baseband, they can be stored in memory and recalled to generate the desired waveform.300 MHz Instantaneous Bandwidth is required. So the sample rate we select for this system is IGHz. In fact, we interleave two ADC (500 MHz) to reach IGsps. The Programmable Logic Device (PLD)is applied in this system for controller as well as data storage. The Frequency Synthesizer is also applied as clock source for ADC.
