Development Of 3D Computer Aided Design System Of Foaming Mould

In accordance with the development tendency of CAD, aimed at the present foaming mould, a foaming mould 3D CAD system is developed in this paper, which realizes automation of foaming mould design. The system goes a step further in enhancing quality and efficient of foaming mould design in CIM. The works in the development processes fulfilled are as follows.Based on the function demands that the system can use information inputted by users for mould designing and capability demands that the system should have good user interface and interactive function and the system should be reliable and extensible , the general system structure consists of mould program designing module and generating 3D module.Mould program designing module is composed of inputting mould information module, designing mould module and generating midst files module. In guide dialog boxes, the structure and dimension of the foaming mould can be determined. The datum are reappeared and looked up through the database technology. The design of different type of mould is completed through the OOP technology, the structure design of the mould through the function module technology, and the dimension design of key parts through the theory design and the experience design.The modules to generate 3D pattern are developed in the three-dimension drawing environment of the MDT. By use of the module, the three-dimension patterns of mould parts and components are established and updated, and the assembly of the mould can be completed.In order that the system is used easily, the foaming mould help system isdeveloped. Adopting ASP technology and ADO technology, the system has function of automatically creating dynamic home pages including newest initial datum of mould design and patterns of the assembly.In order to attain the transplantability and affiliation of the man-machine interaction circumstance, the all design procedure of the software system is completed under the visual integrate circumstance, which fully embodies the principle of "What you see is what you get".
