| Associated with the national 863 hi-tech project æ‚pplied Integrated Access System? a 5Gbps ATM Switching fabric is accomplished. Most effort is focused on the hardware of the switching fabric. In addition, for system reliabilit)~ we implement the third layer protocol for cooperation between the active switching fabric, and redundant switching fabric. This special protocol is based on the I-IDLC protocol, which make the system more stable, and more automatic. This software includes two independent function blocks: the HDLC protocol and a user-defined protocol.
