Electronic Customs Business Based On XML Technology And Application Study

Electronic customs business is the joint of customs supervision business on import & export goods and the technology of electronic business in industry. The standard information technology is turning to WEB and XML in whole industry, especially in those enterprises heavily depending on world trade. Customs should improve its information technology with industry and provide better customs services. So it necessary for customs to study electronic customs business based on XML technology and change it main information technology system to WEB and XML frame.In this paper, electronic customs business based on XML technology is studied in two aspects. New XML technology is proved better, compared with EDI technology which is commonly used in customs and industry . In practice, Microsoft SQL2000 SERVER and its XML technology support is introduced. With Microsoft SQL2000 SERVER, the author has managed to get and present XML-fornied real process-trade data in his customs work ,and established a model XML system.
