Research On BPM-Based Processes Modeling Of Customs Clearance

As an important channel for import and export logistics activities, the Customs along with its operational efficiency is now becoming the focus of international competition. At present, there are a large variety of internal business systems running in the Customs. Each system has its own characteristics and always needs to call each other. The implementation of BPM is based on the integration of business information resources. It could contribute to the modeling, design and development of the whole business processes of enterprises and finally realize the business action through advanced information technologies. In order to address the problem of information islands encountered with the information construction and enhance the transparency of the customs clearance process, this thesis has analyzed the customs clearance process in terms of process mining, process modeling, process simulation and process monitoring. The method of the BPM-based graphical modeling along with its implementation was raised and the simulation optimization method as well as the process monitoring method of the process was also suggested.The thesis has conducted analysis on the existing research in respect of improvement of the customs clearance process and has introduced the basic concepts and technologies of BPM. With the comparison of BPR, WFM and ERP, the thesis has explained the advantages of BPM and core technologies required by the implementation of it.Based on the analysis of the customs clearance process and research of BPMN, the thesis has found out the business activities, gateways, events and connections related to the process and proposed the graphical modeling method. Having the model simulated by setting the simulation environment parameters and attribute parameters of business activities, the thesis has proposed the simulation optimization method.To integrate the process resources effectively, the thesis has analyzed the required web services and external partners of the process according to the established graphical model. It has also come up with the methods to implement and deploy the executable process model with Oracle BPM Studio, which is taken as the modeling tool. At last, the proposal to monitor the load and health in real-time of the whole process by BAM was given, so as to achieve the continual and standardized improvement of the whole process further.
