Fieldbus is a kind of digital, bi-directional transmission and multi-branch communication network which connects intelligent equipment and automatic system. It is the production of synthesis and integration of computer technology, communication technology and control technology. It抯 an open and distributed new pattern and a focus of automatizatjon. CAN is a kind of fieldbus and a serial communication network which supports distributed and real-time control effectively. Intelligent control is the advanced stage of control theory and techniques. It抯 a new and developing research field. It抯 used to solve the problem of control of complex systems which are not easily solved by traditional control methods. This paper developed a distributed control system based on CAN Bus. Many relatively advanced techniques which are involved to computer, control, communication, network and circuit design techniques are used in the system. The system possesses good capabilities of control and motoring, and intelligent control algorithm, steady performance, friendly interface and good performance-cost ratio. The system has been used in practice and desirable results are achieved. The concepts and features of fieldbus, CAN and intelligent control are given in the first chapter. The second chapter presents the design of the distributed control system based on CAN Bus, including the design of hardware and the communication software. The third chapter presents the design of computer monitoring software, including the design of a monitoring software of fire-detecting system, the development based on configuration software and the ideas of the development of general configuration software. Especially, the techniques of OOP, configuration, hyper-image and te[~ communication are introduced. , ?/1, The design of an air conditioning control system is presented in the fourth chapter. The design of hardware, control method, control algorithm梞ultimodal control and software are given. Finally, the summary of the work in this paper and the prospect of correlative theory and techniques are given.
