Now, field bus is one of the hotspots in the automation field. In this dissertation, Distributed Control System (DCS) based on field bus has been studied and the difference between DCS and Central Control System (CCS) and traditional DCS has also been discussed. The main difference between Fieldbus Control System (FCS) and traditional DCS lies on the realization of field control layer. With CAN field bus as the object for study, based on the research about DCS, this dissertation mainly studies the composition, communication protocol, kernelled technology and the software and hardware realization of the field control layer.The torpedo control system structure based on field bus technology has also been studied in this dissertation. Presently, CCS is still widely used in the torpedo and there are many problems holdback the development of the torpedo control system, such as EMI. By the introduction of the conception of "open bus system" to the torpedo control system, the performance of system can be improved greatly. The selection of a more fitted system structure for the torpedo control system is another aim of this dissertation. MILSTD1553B bus, which has wide applications in the aviation electrical field, has been studied in the fifth chapter. By the comparison of MILSTD1553B and CAN bus, the conclusion indicates that CAN bus has a higher rate of performance to price. So, CAN bus can be a good choice for the torpedo control system. At the end of this dissertation, based on the characteristic of 1553B bus and others bus, some improvements have been made for the CAN bus system.
