The present journalism tends to wide-visualization: The visualization of forms increases step by step. Instead of indirect and tedious written symbols, visual pictorial symbols afford readers information and the volume of reading is reduced. The expression of texts develops a tendency to simplism and stylization, and the choice of concern focuses its attention on entertainment. Which make readers receive information passively, cling to copying image directly in the stead of individual reading and thinking, and pay attention to mobile appearance not stably main body. This shows that culture of present journalism is one kind of mass culture. There are many factors that result in the changes. The development of economy leads to the introduction of consumptionism in China, the mass society provides mass culture with economic and social basis, and the competition of pictorial media, such as TV, is the direct factor that it results in mass journalism. Almost all the reform of journalism rolling on full force is being developed in this direction. This text tries to indicate that the changes would lead to single culture, instead of various culture.
