Today in China, readers?choice becomes a dominated factor in newspaper market, competition between news梞edia is even more severer than ever. It is important for all media to think about how to get more living space and progress.This thesis is to discuss,according to editors,how to site market target of newspaper and how to satisfy different needs of readers. Some rules are provided, such as enrich its content and form, enhance the absolutely necessarity of reading, search for igored field, etc. Since the competition is hard, many newspapers go on the way providing whatever may to the interests of readers. Message about strang things, violence and sex stack on the page. This departs from what news really means. To change this, some skills can be followed, like providing more message about main society, about common people抯 lives, providing multiple message, and in some cases, make plans to get the most of the news. This thesis also discuss how to make better use of target setting to enhance message sending.
