The literacy ability is not only the fundamental teaching in the elementary education stage, but also the foundation of the student's learning, of reading and writing and the premise of all the Chinese learning. How many words and how fast one can learn directly influence the time to start reading and his/her reading ability. However, due to the influence of the exam-oriented education, the trend in the Chinese teaching is that students only read books for tests and as a result, their thinking becomes more and more fixed, not flexible. The literacy teaching, as the key one in the Chinese teaching, also faces the similar predicament. But the position and importance of the literacy teaching demand us to carry out the reform of Chinese teaching from the literacy.If we would like to get rid of several disadvantages in the Chinese literacy teaching of the elementary school, we must make a decision to reform the Chinese literacy teaching and search for a new way of teaching and a new teaching strategy. Chinese is born for flying children's dreams, each Chinese character can inspire children's endless imagination and the connection of a bunch of Chinese characters is the sky where dreams can be flown. The strategy this essay puts forward is to teach and learn Chinese simultaneously, which can not only meet the psychological demand of the children in the junior grade, but also meet that of Chinese literacy teaching.This essay is put forward under the background that the new curriculum reform is vigorously going on nationwide and tries to seek for a valuable way for the exploration of the literacy teaching. It will carry out the analysis through the following four parts:Chapter one Introduction:this chapter explains the purpose and the meaning of choosing this topic, provides the theoretical foundation and makes the domestic and international research situation on display. Chapter Two Problems of Elementary Chinese Literacy Teaching and Their Reasons:firstly it explains the problems in the present elementary Chinese literacy teaching and analyzes the main reasons for these problems at length.Chapter Three Strategies for Chinese Literacy Teaching:this chapter is the key one of the whole essay, for it explains this literacy teaching strategy on many aspects. The first strategy is to create a happy and harmonious classroom, so several ways of creating a highly-efficient literacy classroom by teachers will be introduced. The second strategy is to mobilize students in life and guide them to learn words by themselves in and off the classroom, so this part will mainly explains that teachers guide students to go out of the classroom, teach them how to learn words and make them get a wider knowledge of new words by themselves in life. Finally, it will introduce the achievement of this teaching strategy.Chapter Four Reflection on the Elementary Chinese Literacy Teaching: on the basis of the achievement by this research, the author has some reflections and her next research orientation.Chapter Five Conclusion.
