This article combines the characteristics of geography teaching and cognitive development of students,by using the literature of the questionnaire and the practice of research methods.It focuses on the achievement of environmental education of China, the deficiencies of environmental education, and the assessment methods of environmental education teaching, and the content of environmental education in secondary school geography. It gives a brief content on environmental education, the purpose and the tasks. It mainly discusses the implementation of environmental education channels, the classroom-social practice method, and the special website to enhance the effectiveness of environmental education. At the same time, according to the state of the environment near schools, in "the anniversary of the environment" launched a series of school Outside activities for students in first-hand experience to enrich environmental knowledge, improve the skill of environmental protection and deepen the awareness of environmental protection.The above teaching practices illuminate that in high schools putting environmental education into practice in geography teaching has its particular advantages .Geography teachers should not only be good at excavating fodders about environmental education in teaching materials, but also recruit the environmental hotspots in time into teaching.We should tackle the two main positions: in and out of class. reform teaching methods and set up more situations and opportunities, so that the students can feel, experience and inner convert in the given atmosphere. Also we should continuously improve our own environmental attainments.
