Research On YangJintu's Industrial Educational Thought

YANG Jin-tu, one of the most important contemporary vocational education researchers, who has not only the experiences in vocational education administration and professional academic research, but also the experiences in founding, management and teaching of vocational education school. His activities and research in vocational education witness the development of the vocational education in the transform period of Chinese society. In this thesis, the author introduces two important text which includes YANG's main experience and thoughts in vocational education: "Selected Short Essays on Vocational Education by YANG Jin-tu" and "Slected Speeches on the Founding of Shanghai Sibo College by YANG Jin-tu", and conclude, comb and analyze YANG's thoughts system on vocational education.The author concludes that "pursuing the fairness in education" is the aim of YANG's vocational education idea, "human-oriented" is the core of YANG's vocational education idea. He considers that vocational education is an important way to promote social fairness and means of enhance human development through the realization of education fairness more than just a supplemented part of education or a means to earn one's life of social individual. "Human" is the starting point and end of YANG's vocational education thoughts. Pay close attention to the reality and closely relate to Chinese character is the standing point of YANG's vocational education thought. Many current problems are under his survey, consideration and analysis, and he tries his best to answer them. He raises that we should develop vocational education from the current condition and follow the law of education and not after "leap up development"; we should stick to the social demand and employment-oriented; he also emphasis that we should look at problems with developing view and we should have the concept of "great market" and "great vocational education".The thesis also concludes the main characters of YANG's vocational education, and the author thinks that YANG's thoughts bears the clear following traits: humanism, society-oriented, practicality and developing nature. In the last part, the author is trying to conclude the academic significance of YANG's vocational education thoughts: first, construct the contemporary vocational education theory system initially; second, a leap of the idea in vocational education from "employment" and "being happy with one's cause" to "the harmonious development of human being" and "education fairness"; third, valuable exploration and thinking on the development direction and ways of realization of contemporary vocational education in China.
