in this paper, I analyze the difference of educational thought between Kanō Jigorō and Yang Du. The main content is the comparison on the moral education and vocational education. The first part of the article introduces an educational argument between Kanō Jigorō and Yang Du. At that time, Yang Du was studying in Japan, and would be graduated soon, they hold a graduation ceremony. As headmaster, Kanō Jigorō published his views on education in the graduation ceremony, Yang Du put forward objections. The second part introduces the two different views on moral education, that Kanō Jigorō advocated of confucian as the key link, but Yang Du advocated of modern western thought mainly, I get the existence of conservative and radical differences between the two, from this angle, I explore the differences originated from they background knowledge,and relates to the different views of the “Westernized Chinese style” and “Westernized Japanese style”. The third part of the analysis is their different views on the occupation education, that Kanō Jigorō pay more attention on practice education, but Yang Du pay more attention on ideological education and moral education, then combined with the situation of today, we should pay more attention to the ideological education of composition. The fourth part is the conclusion, from the two people,we can get the reason of the different results of the Japan education modernization reform and China education early modernization reform future, China want to learn Japanese "Westernized Japanese style",and go "Westernized Chinese style" education road, since the Japanese cultural moral and cultural psychology is departed,Chinese Confucian cultural moral and cultural psychology is combined together,China was doomed to failure。...
